Bag the Peaks!

Tonight I attended the 3rd tapping in Pateros Creek Brewing Company’s Fourteener Series, Maroon Bells Red IPA. Each beer release is held in a different location. Released at Tap and Handle in Old Town Fort Collins this time, each 10 gallon batch is released at a different location and is not available in the Pateros Creek tap room. Head brewer and owner Steve Jones planned to keep them out of the taproom.”They are such small batches” he says, “and we want to high light other places in the community, as well as hit other customers who have never been to Pateros”. Fourteen beers will be released in the series.image

So far, Mt. Oxford was released at The Forge Publick House, and kicked in one evening. Centennial IPA was tapped at the Colorado Brewers Festival in the ‘experience beer’ tent where Jones discussed the series and filled taster glasses. You can visit to get more information on the different beers, sign up to find the next release, and bag the peaks. Next up is Blanca Peak, a white IPA.
